Save Lincolnshire Libraries Campaigners Discuss Legal Challenge

photo

The Save Lincolnshire Libraries campaign group has been meeting for some time with QualitySolicitors Burton & Co of Lincoln who are active in preparing all the necessary documents to take further advice.

The very strong advice the campaign group has received is that to give further public information at this stage may prejudice possible future proceedings.

The group is very aware of the restricted time frame.

They expect to be able to further advise what is happening in mid January.

How you can help

The library cuts in Lincolnshire have national implications (read this independent summary here: Lincolnshire Council’s consultation gets into further hot water … and has national implications), so we invite anyone who cares about public libraries in the UK to support us.

Follow us on Twitter @savelincslibs, Tweet your support and we will RT!

If you have more time and a blog, please write a blog post on your support of our campaign and Tweet us the link, again we will share this widely.

  1. Go for it!
I sent my detailed comments to most of the councillors personally, and these thoughts were included in the analysis of the consultation results, but I should be happy to do anything else to support continued provision of a proper library service in the county.

    • Thank you very much Christopher, it’s fantastic that you’ve done so much already, will pass your details on to the researchers we have working at the moment. Thanks again.
